How long are flights from the USA to Vietnam?
Flying from USA to Hanoi, or Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam will depend on the city you’re traveling from.
If you’re flying out from west coast, Seattle, it would take you approximately 18 hours of flight to land in Hanoi. If you’re flying out from an east coast, New York, the approximate flying time to Hanoi would be 21 hours.
Do US citizens need a visa to visit Vietnam?
Yes. American passport holders are required to apply for an e-visa to enter Vietnam. You can apply for a single or multiple entry visa, which is valid for 90 days from the date you enter on your visa application. We do include visas on our tours once you confirm the trip with us. What do I need to check in my passport before my Vietnam trip?
Your passport should have at least two blank pages, and should be valid for at least six months after your planned departure date from Vietnam.
How should I dress when visiting Vietnam?
If visiting Vietnam during spring, summer, or early autumn months, we suggest loose and comfortable clothing. If traveling during the winter months, specially in Hanoi and north, carrying a jacket is recommended. You’ll also need a walking shoes.

International credit & debit cards can be used at ATMs and all hotels in major towns. For small purchases and paying street vendors, cash is the king.

What's food like in Vietnam?
Vietnamese food is known for its fresh ingredients. Dishes are packed with flavour from the fish sauce, soy sauce, fresh herbs, lemongrass, garlic, ginger and mint. The cuisine inspired by Chinese.
Keep an eye out for pho – a beef or chicken noodle soup that’s often eaten at breakfast. Bahn xeo (pancakes filled with pork, veggies and eggs) and gio cuon (spring rolls overflowing with fresh greens and minced pork or fish) are also worth a try. Delicious!
