MUI NE TRAVEL & vacation GUIDE

Mui Ne is perhaps most famous for its enormous sand dunes. Also of interest if the Fairy Spring (Suoi Tien) which is really a stream that flows through a patch of dunes. Mui Ne beach is also a popular holiday destination for kite surfing, windsurfing as Gusty winds are seldom. With strong winds, the sometimes choppy waves can be as high as 4 meters and more. The water is free of rocks, which makes it relatively safe to do kite-surfing.

Mui Ne Fishing Tour: Essentially a congregation of fishing boats, the location of this floating village differs according to the season and when the winds change direction. From around May to October, the wind comes from the North and the fishing boats move to avoid the waves. Here, you can glimpse small basket boats bringing produce to shore from larger fishing boats harbor out at sea. We can include a relaxing stay in Mui Ne to your chosen Vietnam tours.

Mui Ne getting there & away

It used to be that Mui Ne was quite isolated and could only be approached by an 11 km diversion from Hwy 1A through Phan Thiet. Recently a new road has opened, heading northeast from the eastern end of the beach, connecting back to Hwy 1A halfway to Ca Na. This scenic stretch, past deserted beaches and a beautiful lake ringed with water lilies, greatly reduces the northward journey and allows the open-tour buses to pass through Mui Ne without backtracking. Mui Ne is so spread out that it’s difficult to get around on foot. There are plenty of xe om drivers to take you up and down the strip. Given that the area isn’t highly populated and it’s not on the main highway, this is not a bad place to hire a bicycle or motorbike.
