9 DAY CLASSIC TOUR OF CAMBODIA & LAOS

Welcome to the kingdom of Khmer, arrive in Siem Reap, meet by our Cambodia tour guide who is holding a sign showing your name. You will be transferred to your hotel, rest of the day at your leisure until you will be picked up for the Angkor Wat tour in Sunset from the Pyramid shaped temple of Pre Rup

Visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom (12th century), the South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean), Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara,) the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. In the afternoon you will visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and it is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. You will then enjoy a wonderful sunset view from the Phnom Bakheng Hills. There will be dinner with show at a local restaurant before an overnight stay in Seam Reap.

Pick up in the morning for a half a day excursion to the largest Southeast Asia’s fresh water, the Tonle Sap Lake. You will firstly enjoy a fun ox cart ride through the countryside, continue to have a boat trip to enjoy the beautiful lake view and mangrove forest on the lake, then spend rest of the morning at the largest village on the lake which is called Kompong Phluk, to discover the fascinating daily lives of the local people who leave on the water. Rest of the day is at leisure for you to relax.

Today we flight to Vientiane, capital of Laos, upon arrival you will be picked up to your hotel in city, check in and spend the rest of the day at your own exploration.

On day 5 – Your tour of Vientiane include visits to the major temples of Vat Sisaket, Vat Phrakeo and the impressive That Luang Stupa (the country’s most important monument). You will also see the Arc de Triomphe, the National Museum and the main market. The rest of the afternoon will be free at leisure before an overnight stay in Vientiane.

Flight to Luang Prabang, arrive and check in at your hotel, rest of the day will be on your own, get the most of it by visiting the famous night market.

Classic tour of Cambodia and Laos start and today you will take a drive 30 km south to visit Kuangsi Waterfall which, though not very high, is spectacular and beautiful with its green surroundings in a preserved national park. En route, you will stop to visit a fresh produce market, Talad Phosy, and also visit Ban Na Oune, a small village of the Hmong hill tribe, the best known minority group in Laos. Just before arriving at Kuangsi Waterfall, you will visit a village of the Khmu minority group, Ban Tha Pane, followed by a picnic lunch at the shady park near the waterfall. There will be plenty of time for relaxing and a swim in the cool water, before you head back to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon. The rest of the day will be spent visiting various crafts shops, silver smiths and the Hmong market, where the embroidery works of Hmong women are on display. You will stay overnight in Luang Prabang.

Today you will embark on a private boat for a 2 hours boat trip along the Mekong River to the Pak Ou Cave. Along the boat trip, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery along the Mekong River and see daily life of local people in riverside fishing village.

Visit the Pak Ou Cave which locates by the Mekong River and you will discover numbers of gold-lacquered Buddha statues in the cave. After visiting, take the boat back to Luang Prabang and rest of the day at your leisure.
