MEKONG DELTA DAY TOUR

08:00 am your tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel to transfer to My Tho, the journey take about 2 hour, en-route we stop at Vinh Trang pagoda.

Vinh Trang pagoda with it’s huge ornate gates was built in 1849 and resembles an Indian Raj Palace decorated with mosaics made from broken pottery. Overlooked by a tall white Buddha, the Pagoda is set amongst lovely gardens packed with flowers and shrubs, lotus pools and tombs of the monks.

Continue to My Tho where you will take a boat cruise along Mekong River you will have a chance to see fish farms, floating houses and the day to day activities on the River.

The tour takes you to Xep canal through coconut trees canal to a small islet. We disembark and have a walk around the village. Stop at a local family to enjoy tropical fruit, taste honey tea, honey wine and listen to Vietnamese traditional music, performance by the villagers.

Continue walking on the village’s road and have a short horse cart trip. We board a rowing boat in the small canal to the motor-boat and then heading to local restaurant on the other islet. Lunch is set with special Vietnamese food with a local family.

After lunch, we get back to the boat and cruise back to My Tho and transfer to the car for the drive back to Saigon, arriving at around 5:00pm.
